Dr Douglas Blank

Consultant Neonatologist | Neonatal Resuscitation Research Leader | Clinical Trial Investigator

Dr Blank is a consultant neonatologist at Monash Newborn, Monash Children's Hospital, and a research fellow at The Ritchie Centre, Department of Paediatrics, Monash University.

A recognised leader in neonatal resuscitation research, Doug is the principal investigator of several groundbreaking clinical trials focused on improving birth-related interventions for preterm and term neonates, aiming to optimise neonatal resuscitation techniques, enhance newborn outcomes, and improve team performance in critical care settings.

Born and educated in the USA, Doug has a diverse background that includes significant international experience, before moving to Melbourne in 2014 to pursue to pursue a PhD at the Ritchie Centre.

Since joining the faculty at Monash Newborn in 2019, Doug has continued his research while serving as a consultant neonatologist.
