Dr Hodgson is a dedicated neonatologist at the Royal Women’s Hospital and an early career researcher at the University of Melbourne. Working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, Kate is deeply committed to providing exceptional care for preterm babies and their families in the NICU.

Kate completed her PhD in 2022, with her research focusing on a randomised trial of nasal high-flow therapy to support neonatal intubation, marking a significant contribution to the field.

Her current research interests centre on optimising delivery room stabilisation and improving respiratory outcomes for preterm babies, with a strong focus on advancing neonatal respiratory care.
