Professor Rod Hunt holds The Financial Markets Foundation for Children Chair in Neonatal Paediatrics at Monash University and serves as the Director of Research in Victoria for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance. His research is dedicated to understanding brain development and improving the management of brain injury in high-risk infants, with the ultimate goal of enhancing long-term neurodevelopmental outcomes for this vulnerable NICU population.

Rod leads the Monash Newborn Research Group, where he spearheads pioneering research into neonatal brain health. He is also the Site Lead for the BLUEPRINT Study at Monash Children’s Hospital, contributing to global efforts aimed at improving neonatal respiratory care and outcomes.
